I just didn't want to get screwed down the line, I honestly was doing it as a step to almost just go through the motion, but was surprised by the answers that I received. I plan on contacting an NRA sponsored company and switching everything over to them at this point, but was just curious what others are doing?
Thanks for the input.

You never ask your insurance company anything. They will lie to you. The only thing that matters is what is written in the text of your policy. If your policy does not explicitly prohibit home based business or home based businesses with firearm, then you are covered.
The problem with what you have done is that while they must indemnify you according to the policy, there is nothing to keep them from dropping you as a policy holder if you give them this info.
The smart thing to do would have been to contact your agent (who works for you) and ask them in writing (email) if there was any prohibition on a home based business. Their answer is their legal commitment to you that you are covered.
Again, we are not saying that your homeowners ins would cover your business inventory. We're merely confirming that the presence of a home based business will not affect your other coverage.
Just to say it again NEVER EVER EVER EVER call your insurance company and ask them about something like this. Ask your agent. But even then. Just say a home based business. If they ask what kind, just tell them you are not sure. Then read your policy. The policy is your contract with the Ins company. It is the law. Not what some guy on the phone says.
