Please understand this is not about the firearm discussed, but rather that the AG's office released a POSITIVE advisory letter ~ not an " AG Advisory Opinion" regarding the subject item.
Attached to the AG's advisory letter is the ATF's opinion regarding this determination this is a non-NFA firearm.
now NC citizens should be able to possess this firearm, since it is not considered a shotgun nor as the Forsyth Sheriff contends ~ a weapon of mass death and destruction IAW NC 14-288.8(c)(3) thus making those who possess them committing a criminal act.
